Hello friends!

The Poetic Underground & Kansas City Poetry Slam team is super excited to announce that in person open mics and slams are starting again!

Our first event will be an open mic on July 21st at 8 pm! The list will drop for sign ups at 7:30 pm and will be first come, first served as always! 

Moving forward, ALL of our events will have a start time of 8 pm!

We are also excited to announce that we have moved to a new venue and are now proud to make our home at Blip Roasters in the West Bottoms!

Some quick notes about our new venue!

The coffee shop will stay open until 10 pm! Blip also has a bike night event with food trucks and other vendors that happens right before our event, a perfect opportunity to grab food and drink before poetry!

There is street parking and a parking lot directly behind the building. The accessible entrance is also in the back of the building, accessed from the parking lot and will be well marked and lit on Wednesday evenings.

In the name of safety we encourage wearing masks in crowded areas, washing your hands often, and staying home if you are sick! It will be wonderful to be able to share space as a community again, but safety is still our number one priority!
